This exhibition brings together the diverse backgrounds and artforms of three artists, Peter Rive (painting), Kodai Suga (sculpture) and Minowa Takaharu (Ceramics) with a collaborative installation at the historic NOKOGIRI 2 in Ichinomiya, Aichi.

A repurposed textile factory, with a tradition that spans over a hundred years, this unique space brings together the challenge of creating an intersection between these artists and their respective fields - contemporary painting, experimental sculpture and the reconstruction of pottery.

Although each artist presents a very different approach to art-making and medium of expression, a deep investigation into their craft and experimental approach to their chosen medium is a shared trait.

The Second Life of NOKOGIRI presents a dialogue in viewing these artworks, activated by a space that offers new meaning and resonance in this beautifully historic venue.
